• Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, or Advil/Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure. 
• No brow waxing, tinting, microdermabrasion, or chemical peels one week before. 
• Discontinue Retin-A 4 weeks prior. 
• Do not use AHA skincare products close to the eyebrow area 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after your procedure. 
• No Botox around the brow area 2 weeks prior. 

Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. 

1.  The minute the skin is broken, your body will detect a wound. It’s your body’s job to repair the skin, and to do that it needs to push out the pigment. So, you must fight against what your body wants to do. To reject the pigment, all it must do is scab over. In permanent makeup, we don’t work deep enough to be able to afford the body to scab so we must stop this process. The first 12 hours are the most important. That’s when your body is doing the most healing. So, every hour you need to be washing them. With cotton round and cool water, squeezing as much water out as possible and rubbing them quite firm back and forth. If you have a lot of hair, you need to be getting under the hair. It’s important to go back and forth, if it’s too gentle then it won’t be doing much. There has to be a bit of pressure, which can be strange. But it must be done. This will keep the pigment in the skin.
2. Then apply a small amount of Vaseline (like the size of 2 grains of rice, that’s it) after every washing. 
3. Day 2 to 10, keep the brow area clean by using a gentle fragrance-free cleanser and water with freshly washed hands morning and night (2x/day). Do not use a washcloth or sponge and clean area by moving in the direction of the hair growth. 
4. Allow eyebrows to air dry before applying a very thin layer of the aftercare serum or Vaseline given (for the number of days recommended by your artist) with freshly washed hands or a Q tip. 
5. DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss. 
6. Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, pool (chlorine is irritating), sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 3 weeks. 
7. Avoid physical effort, gym and any other activity that may cause excessive sweating for at least 5 and up to 14 days. 
8. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days. 
9. NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for two weeks. 
10. NO Botox around the brow area for two weeks after. 
11. NO facials, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. 
12. After 14 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading. (At least SPF 30, if not 50) 
13. Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure. 
14. Avoid Retin-A close to brow area. 

Please note: Immediately following your procedure, the tattooed area will appear to be anywhere from 20-40% darker and bolder in color and 15% thicker. This can last up to 10 days after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. (This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.) The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards, but there should be minimal discomfort. During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own.  

The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. During this process, your tattoo will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it seems to take on new strength, and it is only after 6-8 weeks that your touch-up/adjustment can be done (which is NOT INCLUDED in the initial cost).  

Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for any clients who are/have:  

• Pregnant or nursing 
• Diabetic 
• Viral infections and/or diseases 
• Epilepsy 
• A Pacemaker or major heart problems 
• Had an organ transplant
• Tendency towards keloids 
• Seborrheic dermatitis 
• Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.) 
• Sick (cold, flu, etc.) 
• Had Botox in the past 2 weeks 
• Have upcoming vacations or special occasions planned shortly after 
• Used Accutane (oral acne medication) in the past year 
• Allergic to anesthetic (Lidocaine) or nickel 
• Blood thinner medications   

Attention Please: We strongly advise prospective new clients to book their Microblading appointments at least 3-4 months in advance of vacations, weddings, and special occasions. This allows adequate time for healing of both your Initial Microblading Appointment as well as a Touch-Up Appointment 6-8 Weeks prior to your event.
