Eyeliner Aftercare INSTRUCTIONS

However, like with any other procedure, eyeliners also need continuous after care and maintenance. When the treatment is completed, your eyelids will be swollen, and the eyeliner can appear to be thicker, darker, and distorted. Within 2-3 days the swelling will be minimized and you will be able to see the correct thickness and colors. The healing process lasts from 4-6 weeks depending on the client. During this period, it is crucial to take care of your eyes and follow the recommended practices for great results. Here are some tips and advice to keep your semi-permanent eyeliner in shape and flawless looking: 

• If you experience bruising or bloodshot eyes with severe itching and inflammation, visit a doctor immediately. You can also contact us if this happens. 
• Do not apply any makeup, creams or extra water on the eyes. Avoid all sorts of cleansing and facials until your eyes have healed completely. 
• After the semi-permanent eyeliner procedure, your skin will form a protective scab. When this scab disintegrates, you might notice some fluid on the skin. Do not panic and dab it off with the help of a sterile gauze pad. This will ensure that the skin remains bacteria-free and protected. 
• After 24 hours post-treatment, clean the affected region daily using non alcohol soap and warm, sterilized water. You can also apply the soap solution on a sterile gauze and blot it until completely dry. Do not scrub, rub, or wipe your eyes aggressively. It is recommended to use gentle, patting motions only, so that the area remains dry at all times. 
• Use the aftercare product religiously. Apply it on the scabs 2–4 times on a daily basis until you are completely healed. 
• Do not cake on or apply layers and layers of the aftercare product. Your main aim should be to cover the protective scabs properly. If you apply too much product, the pigments may fade, your skin will not be able to breathe and ultimately, the healing process will be affected. 
• Use a Q-tip to apply the aftercare product and pat dry it. If you end up applying too much, just blot it off with a sterile gauze. 
• Once you see that the scabs have healed and disappeared, you can stop using the ointment. This process can last anywhere from 4 to 10 days, and for some clients it may also take 14 days. 
• Refrain from using mascara or any saline eye drops. Replace all your old mascaras with new ones because old makeup can end up contaminating the wounds. 
• Do not wear any contact lenses till 24 hours after the semi-permanent eyeliner treatment is completed.
